📌About the Event
VYOMA Innovation Challenge 2026 is a national innovation challenge launched by the Digital India BHASHINI Division under MeitY, in collaboration with Current AI and Kalpa Impact. The challenge invites students, startups, researchers, MSMEs, academic institutions and innovators to build open-source, multilingual, voice-first AI solutions that can work in offline or low-connectivity environments. It is based on Sunno Sutra, a handheld AI reference device designed to support conversational AI across Indian languages without cloud dependency.

- Mode of conduct: Hybrid format, with online application/PPT submission and later prototype-building/finale stages.

- Stage 1: Registration form + PPT application
- Stage 2: Hardware shipment + prototype build
- Stage 3: Grand Finale with finalist solution presentation/live demo before jury.

- Selection process:
- Open application submission
- Shortlisting of 20 teams
- Prototype development using developer kits
- Technical mentorship from BHASHINI and Current AI experts
- Final prototype showcase before an expert jury.

- Prize pool: Up to ₹80 lakh
- Developer kits: 20 shortlisted teams will receive developer kits
