Tally CodeBrewers 2026
Tally Solutions
📌 About the Event
Tally CodeBrewers 2026 is the flagship national hackathon hosted by Tally Solutions, one of India’s pioneering software product companies. Built as an alternative elite engineering pipeline, CodeBrewers brings together top engineering students to test their practical implementation skills across system engineering and application architecture.
The hackathon goes beyond standard algorithmic problem-solving, pushing participants to design and deploy functional, production-grade systems across two distinct challenge tracks:
- The Wizard of Systems Programming Track: Deeply focused on low-level abstractions, infrastructure efficiency, memory management, and high-performance execution blocks.
- The Commander of Full Stack Track: Focused on end-to-end application lifecycle management, scalable database design, clean API layers, and highly intuitive, responsive frontend architectures.
📅 The Hackathon Roadmap & Timeline
The competition spans multiple phases, moving from rapid-fire logic filtering to an extensive 48-hour development marathon and a physical grand finale:
Phase 1: The Initial Assessment Layer (July 3)
- The Blueprint: A combined online round featuring 25 core programming logic questions and 3 algorithmic coding problems.
- The Leader Mandate: Only the designated Team Leader can access and write code for this baseline screening phase. Their individual score determines the entire team’s progression to the hackathon.
Phase 2: The Core 48-Hour Sandbox (July 17 – 19)
- Shortlisted teams select one out of two comprehensive product challenges.
- Teams have continuous 48 hours to design their architectures using any technology stack of their choice. They receive direct guidance from assigned internal Tally Engineering Mentors starting July 14.
Phase 3: Live Evaluations (July 21 – July 28)
- Semi-Finals: Live product and code architecture demos hosted virtually via Microsoft Teams.
- Grand Finale: Shortlisted teams travel directly to the Tally Office in Bengaluru to refine their builds based on jury critiques and pitch their ultimate production version.
🎓 Eligibility & Team Guidelines
- Academic Pipeline: Open to full-time B.Tech / B.E. / Dual-Degree engineering students.
- Target Branches: Restricted to Circuit Branches (e.g., CS, IT, ECE, EEE) from a curated selection of target university campuses.
- Team Configurations: Individuals or teams up to a maximum of 3 members.
- Cross-Composition: Cross-specialization, cross-year, and cross-college teams are explicitly allowed. (Note: 1st-year students are excluded from team building).
- Strict Operational Boundaries: No team modifications are permitted once registration locks. Plagiarism or copying external code repositories will trigger instant systemic disqualification.
