TechBharat AI Fellowship
Tech Bharat
📌 About the Event
The TechBharat AI Fellowship (Cohort 2) is India’s premier, public-interest artificial intelligence fellowship. Operating out of the AI Center of Excellence (CoE) in Vizag (Visakhapatnam), this high-stakes residency is designed to transition elite software builders, machine learning researchers, and domain experts away from speculative tech and into building production-ready AI systems that solve real-world public sector challenges.
Fellows write code and optimize models to address live G2C (Government-to-Citizen) service bottlenecks, localized state-scale data problems, and real-time governance infrastructure challenges.
📅 Critical Timelines & Logistics

⚖️ Multi-Stage Selection Pipeline
Candidates are funneled through a strict 6-step evaluation matrix to test execution velocity under pressure:
- Initial Profile Application: Detailing technical background and past repositories.
- Cognitive Assessment: Game-based adaptive aptitude tests evaluating logical pivots.
- Video Async Screening: Short technical presentation submittals.
- The 48-Hour AI Build-a-thon: An intense, weekend-long virtual challenge to construct a working, end-to-end AI application from a raw problem statement.
- Technical Jury Interview: Alignment check with senior AI scientists and policy veterans.
- Cohort Selection: Final onboarding of the top 25 selected fellows.
