Robo Rumble – Robo Race 2026 is an elite, high-intensity mechanical racing tournament organized by the Centre for Excellence (Robotics) and the Department of Nanotechnology at SIMATS Engineering (Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences), Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

This technical face-off targets undergraduate and postgraduate engineers across all disciplines, challenging them to pilot custom or designated mobile robotic rigs through an obstacle-heavy arena track. The competition systematically tests the telemetry precision, mechanical structural balance, high-speed cornering stability, and remote steering control systems of each team’s robotic rover.

🎛️ Operational Parameters & Bot Rules

• Squad Capacity Matrix: Teams are comprised of a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 5 members (spanning both UG and PG engineering blocks).
• Entry Fees: ₹1,000 per team for external institutional participants.
• Hardware Assistance Provision: In order to ensure maximum participation and accommodate teams facing transport or hardware failures, the SIMATS organizing committee is actively providing official pre-configured racing bots to squads who require them on the track.
• Deliverable Rewards: All competing participants will receive structural verification certificates, with top-tier podium places receiving medals and the central tournament trophy.
