The Skills in Action Photo Competition 2026 is an international photography contest organized by UNESCO-UNEVOC.
The competition highlights the transformative role of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in equipping young people with essential skills for the future. Photographers are invited to capture impactful visual stories demonstrating how TVET drives innovation, social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and youth employment globally.

🎯 Categories & Submission Limits
Participants can submit up to one (1) photo per category (maximum of 4 total entries across the contest):
- Equity and Inclusion: Highlighting skills training accessible to all regardless of gender, ethnicity, nationality, socio-economic status, or disability.
- Green Skills and Sustainability: Showcasing resource-efficient practices, sustainable technology, and green jobs.
- Digital Transformation and AI: Depicting youth engaged in robotics, coding, virtual reality, and AI tools.
- Innovation and Excellence: Showcasing modern training techniques that enhance productivity and technical efficiency.
📷 Technical & Photo Guidelines
- Format: JPEG format required (RAW or TIFF files welcomed as supplementary formats).
- Resolution: Minimum 3,000 pixels on the longest side at 300 DPI/PPI.
- Metadata & Context: Each entry must include a title, a short description (max 75 words), location, date, and a signed submission form.
- Consent: Entrants must secure consent from all identifiable individuals in the photograph.
- Strict Prohibitions:
- No AI-generated photos or AI-expanded elements.
- No watermarks, logos, signatures, or photo collages.
- No undisclosed digital edits.
💰 Prizes, Rewards & Gratifications
- 🥇 1st Prize: $750 USD
- 🥈 2nd Prize: $500 USD
- 🥉 3rd Prize: $350 USD
