📌About the Event
Autodesk Buildathon 2026: Design for Impact is a global student design competition where participants use Autodesk Forma and Revit to develop innovative solutions for a real-world architecture, engineering, construction, or sustainability challenge. The two-day competition helps students gain practical experience in environmental analysis, Building Information Modelling (BIM), digital design, teamwork, and data-driven decision-making while creating a portfolio-ready project.

- Mode of conduct: Fully online.
- Duration: Two days.
- Competition dates: August 18–19, 2026.
- Team size: Minimum 2 and maximum 4 students.
- Relevant fields: Architecture, engineering, construction management, design, and other Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Operations-related disciplines.
- Required software: Autodesk Forma Site Design and Autodesk Revit.
- Core challenge: Teams must respond to a real-world design brief using environmental analysis, sustainable design principles, BIM modelling, and digital collaboration.
- Challenge release: The complete competition brief will be disclosed during the official briefing session on the first day.

- Registration deadline: August 10, 2026.
- Competition briefing and challenge commencement: August 18, 2026, at 8:00 AM in the applicable regional time zone.
- Competition period: August 18–19, 2026.
- Final submission deadline: August 19, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the participant’s designated geographic time zone.
- Applicable competition time zones: SGT, BST, EDT, and PDT.
- India-focused online training sessions: July 30 and July 31, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM IST.
🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Who can participate:
- Participants must be at least 18 years old at the time of the competition.
- Participants must be enrolled at a qualified educational institution.
- Every participant must meet Autodesk’s eligibility requirements for accessing the Autodesk Education Plan.
- Organizers may request a valid student ID or equivalent documentation as proof of eligibility.
- Participants cannot enter individually.
- Each team must consist of 2–4 eligible students.
- The competition is especially relevant to students pursuing architecture, engineering, construction management, design, and related AECO disciplines.
- Participants are responsible for developing the skills required to use Autodesk Forma Site Design and Revit.
