📌About the Event
GDGoC Summer DevSprint 2026 is a three-day international hackathon bringing together students from GDG on Campus Waseda University, Japan, and GDG on Campus VTU, India. Participants will work in mixed teams to create deployable technology solutions for local and SDG-related challenges such as sustainability, waste management and language barriers.

- Mode: Online and invite-only
- Duration: Three days
- Theme: Local challenges and SDG-aligned solutions
- Team size: Four members
- Team structure: Two students from GDGoC Waseda and two students from GDGoC VTU
- Team allocation: Teams will be assigned by the organisers based on participants’ skills and preferences.
- Submission: Teams must develop a working project and present it at the end of the hackathon.

- Main hackathon: August 12–14, 2026

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligibilty:
- Participants must be currently enrolled students associated with GDGoC Waseda or GDGoC VTU.
- Students from any academic discipline or programming-language background may participate.
- Beginner developers, designers and project planners are also eligible.
- Participants must be available throughout the complete three-day event.
- Teams must have exactly four members.
- Projects should solve relevant local problems through practical, technology-driven solutions.
- Participants must submit a working prototype or demonstration with a clear project presentation.
🏆 Benefits for the Participants
- The best project will receive MongoDB Atlas credits worth USD 1,000.
- Participants will gain international teamwork experience, mentoring and an opportunity to present their project before industry experts.
