📌About the Event
Hack Hydra 2026 is a nine-day global open-source hackathon organized by HydraDB, a graph database designed for AI applications. Participants will build projects using the newly open-sourced HydraDB repository across challenges involving enterprise knowledge, code and dependency graphs, and AI agent memory. Developers can participate individually or in teams and compete for a $10,000 total prize pool.

- Participation: Open globally, subject to the official eligibility rules.
- Main Requirement: HydraDB must be meaningfully integrated into the project’s core functionality.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligibilty:
- Anyone can participate, subject to the official hackathon rules; the event invites developers globally.
- Participants can compete solo or in teams of up to four.
- Project development must begin on or after August 12, 2026.
- Existing libraries, frameworks, APIs, public datasets and AI coding assistants may be used.
- HydraDB must perform meaningful functionality within the project.
- Every submission must include:
- Official submission form
- Public GitHub repository
- Demo/pitch video of 3 minutes or less
- The GitHub repository must include source code, README, setup instructions, dependency information, attribution and an open-source license.

- Total Prize Pool: $10,000
- Grand Champion: $5,000
- Overall Runner-Up: $3,000
- Third Place: $1,500
- Best Use of HydraDB: $500
- The Best Use of HydraDB award recognizes particularly innovative graph modelling, retrieval, reasoning or relationship-based applications.
- A team may become a finalist in more than one track but can receive only one of the top three overall awards
