ECHOES & REALITIES – VIBGYOR Photo Contest 2026 is a national-level photojournalism competition organized by VIBGYOR Photography as part of its World Photography Day 2026 celebrations. The contest encourages photographers to document the authentic, unposed realities of India through powerful visual storytelling covering everyday life, culture, environmental change, urban transformation, and human-interest stories.

  • Environment & Urban Shift – Urbanisation, infrastructure, climate, and interactions between people and nature.
  • Human Interest – Individuals, unsung heroes, and underrepresented communities.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules

• Eligibilty:
• Open to Indian residents.
• Photographs must be authentic and unstaged.
• Staging, posing, and major digital manipulation are not permitted.
• Basic colour correction and cropping are allowed.
• AI-generated photographs or AI-assisted fill tools are prohibited and can lead to disqualification.
• Entries must be submitted as high-resolution JPEG files with intact EXIF data.
• Every photograph must include a caption of maximum 50 words explaining the who, what, when, where, and why behind the image.
• Participants may submit up to 3 photographs in each theme.
• Shortlisted participants may be asked to provide the RAW files for authenticity verification.

• Winners unable to attend the Mumbai felicitation can have their prizes couriered, although the associated delivery cost may need to be borne by the recipient.
