📌About the Event

The Architectural Haiku Writing Contest, 4th Cycle: Architecture and Memories is an international writing competition by the Architectural Journalism & Criticism Organization (AJC+). Participants are invited to capture architectural spaces connected with personal, imagined, or collective memories through a traditional 17-syllable haiku. The contest encourages creative exploration of architecture through poetry, storytelling, and visual imagery.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules

• Eligibilty:
• College students, professionals, academicians, researchers, design enthusiasts, and other writers worldwide.
• International participants are eligible.
• Entries must be written in English.
• Maximum 3 haikus per participant.
• Each haiku must:
  • Follow the 5–7–5 syllable format.
  • Have no more than 17 syllables.
• Be submitted in a Word document using 12 pt Arial and single-line spacing.
• An illustration or photograph of at least 300 dpi must accompany the entry.
• Images must either be original or carry appropriate permissions/credits.
• Participants must provide at least one social media handle with their submission.
• Entries must be the participant’s original work and will undergo plagiarism and AI-bot checks.
• Entries will be assessed by a six-member jury comprising professionals from architecture, academia, research, and writing
