📌About the Event
Avishkar Research Competition 2026 is a research and innovation competition organised by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, as part of Maharashtra’s Aavishkar research initiative. It gives students and research scholars a platform to present original research, innovative ideas, posters and working/non-working models across six academic categories. The 2026 BAMU cycle begins with district-level competitions in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Beed and Dharashiv, with successful entries progressing further in the Aavishkar competition structure.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligibilty:
- Full-time bona fide students enrolled in eligible university/affiliated college programmes can participate under UG, PG or PPG levels.
- UG Age Limit: Up to 25 years as of 30 September of the academic year.
- PG Age Limit: Up to 30 years as of 30 September.
- PPG Level: No age limit; eligible registered M.Phil./Ph.D./D.Sc./D.Litt. researchers can participate subject to the prescribed conditions.
- Students can enter a research category irrespective of their academic discipline, provided the project fits that category.
- BAMU registration requires details including PRN, project topic/title, abstract, Model/Poster type, participation category, photograph and signature.
- The submitted application is verified by the college coordinator and forwarded to the district coordinator.
- Poster/Model Round: Around 3 minutes for presentation + 3 minutes for discussion under the Aavishkar presentation framework.
🏆 Benefits for the Participants
- At the Maharashtra State Aavishkar level, the established fellowship structure includes research funding for winners:
- UG: ₹35,000 / ₹30,000 / ₹25,000 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd ranks.
- PG: ₹35,000 / ₹30,000 / ₹25,000 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd ranks.
- PPG: ₹1,20,000 for 1st and ₹1,00,000 for 2nd rank over two years.
- These fellowship amounts are state-level Aavishkar benefits, not confirmed BAMU district-level cash prizes.
