Band of Agents Hackathon
Band
📌 About the Event
The Band of Agents Hackathon is an advanced, enterprise-grade virtual build sprint with Band, Codeband, and NativelyAI.
Most modern artificial intelligence models function in isolation, locked inside closed prompt loops or single workflows. This hackathon provides a deep-tech engineering playground to change that. Using the Band universal interaction layer, developers will architect cross-framework multi-agent systems that allow separate AI entities to communicate, exchange structured data tables, delegate operational tasks, and smoothly involve human-in-the-loop triggers across complex corporate business pipelines.
📅 Critical Hackathon Schedule
- Hackathon Kick-off Stream: June 12, 2026 @ 8:30 PM IST
- Online Building Sandbox: June 12 – June 19, 2026
- Hard Submission Window Close: June 19, 2026 @ 8:30 PM IST
- Format: 100% Online Global Code Marathon.
🚀 The Three Core Enterprise Tracks
Teams must submit functional software systems mapped to one of three specialized commercial vectors:
🏢 Track 1: Internal Enterprise Workflows
- The Goal: Build systems designed to smoothly pass high-friction tasks across different corporate departments.
- Use Cases: Designing automated HR onboarding sequences, procurement routing systems, sales-to-delivery asset distributions, or tiered customer support ticket escalation trees.
💻 Track 2: Multi-Agent Software Development
- The Goal: Program highly specialized coding agents that collaborate across distinct legs of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Developers can use Codeband as an open-source reference framework.
- Use Cases: Engineering multi-model automated code reviewers, autonomous bug-hunting and refactoring loops, or automated GitHub Pull Request validation and merge preparation bots.
🛡️ Track 3: Regulated & High-Stakes Workflows
- The Goal: Build multi-agent networks optimized for air-gapped or sensitive environments where strict traceability, explicit audit trails, and risk management matter most.
- Use Cases: Cross-border legal contract review tools, medical case coordination interfaces, insurance claim verification networks, or automated cybersecurity threat investigation engines.
📋 Mandatory Technical Requirements
To pass the technical screening panel, your submitted system architecture must hit these benchmarks:
- The 3-Agent Baseline: The application must showcase at least 3 unique, specialized AI agents actively communicating with each other.
- Deep Band SDK Integration: The Band platform cannot be used as a simple notification alert or thin wrapper. It must serve as the active layer where context, task handoffs, state changes, and agent discovery loops happen in production.
- Code Framework Flexibility: Agents can be written across entirely different underlying frameworks and models, but they must use the official Band Agent API to coordinate.
