📌About the Event

Code for a Billion – Bharat Agentic-AI Hackathon 2026 is a 90-day open-source AI hackathon organized by Code for India (CFI). Participants will build Agentic AI-powered digital public goods addressing major public-health challenges in India. The hackathon launches on August 15, 2026, and participants can compete individually or in teams from anywhere in the world. Projects must be deployed and open-sourced by November 15, 2026, with winners announced on December 5, 2026. The official prize pool is ₹18 lakh.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules

• Eligibilty:
• Open to students, professionals, indie developers, designers, and data scientists.
• Participants can enter solo or as a team.
• Participants must register with Code for India and create their project through AgentFoundry.me.
• Projects must address one of the specified public-health challenge tracks.
• Final projects must be deployed to a cloud platform by November 15, 2026.
• Projects must be released as open source under Apache-2.0 or MIT licences through the Code for India GitHub organization.
