The Bhupen Hazarika Insta-Reel Competition 2026 is an online creative video competition organized by the Cultural Affairs Department, Government of Assam, through the Directorate of Cultural Affairs. The competition commemorates the birth centenary (2025–2026) of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, the legendary Assamese singer, composer, poet and filmmaker.
With the theme “Life, Works and Enduring Legacy of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika,” the competition encourages young content creators to celebrate his music, contributions, humanistic values and cultural influence through engaging Instagram Reels.

• Eligibilty:
• Individuals aged 16–45 years are eligible to participate.
• Participants must be at least 16 years old as of 1 January 2026.
• The competition is open to participants from India and other countries.
• Students, filmmakers, video creators, artists and other eligible individuals can participate.
• Each participant can submit only one entry.
