Build with AI: Code for Communities - Bhubaneswar
Google Developers
📌 About the Event
Build with AI: Code for Communities – Bhubaneswar is a high-profile, national-tier civic hackathon and developer sandbox hosted by GDG Bhubaneswar and GDG Cloud Bhubaneswar. Part of Google’s nationwide public governance initiative, this event addresses high-stakes problem statements generated directly by sitting Members of Parliament (MPs) to solve actual citizen crises across India.
The program takes developers on a technical path from standard prompt engineering to building production-grade autonomous agent networks using Google’s primary tech stack: Gemini, Gemma, Vertex AI, and the Google ADK. Winning MVPs aren’t just theoretical builds they will be deployed as real-world pilots inside active legislative constituencies, local districts, and Primary Health Centres (PHCs). Shortlisted national finalists will head to New Delhi to pitch directly to MPs and enterprise leaders.

🏗️ The 4 MP Constituency Challenge Tracks
Teams will select an open track to engineer systems capable of real deployment:
- Track 1: Constituency Development Planning (People’s Priorities): AI engines that ingest diverse civic feedback, demographic files, and infrastructure reports to help MP offices systematically prioritize municipal budgeting.
- Track 2: Pollution Hotspot Detection (Clean Air & Clean Streets): Integrating computer vision models with real-time IoT air/waste telemetry streams to flag local pollution spikes and map deployment routes for municipal workers.
- Track 3: Smart Health Centre Management (Smart Health): Developing orchestration layers for local Primary Health Centres (PHCs) to automate patient triage, balance supply storage vectors, and assist doctors in low-connectivity zones.
- Track 4: AI-Driven Farmer Advisory (Kisan Alerts): Building multi-lingual, highly grounded localized voice and text agents that process local crop conditions, weather datasets, and market shifts to give real-time advice to farmers.
🏆 Prize Allocation Pool
- Financial Rewards: ₹2,50,000 assigned directly to each challenge track.
- Combined Grand Pool: ₹10,00,000 total cash stack to be won, along with direct government deployment opportunities.
