📌About the Event

The CADD Centre International Design Competition (IDC) 2026 is a multi-stage engineering design competition organised by CADD Centre in partnership with Dassault Systèmes. It challenges students to solve real-world engineering problems across industrial equipment, sustainable energy, eVTOL/drones, and last-mile mobility using advanced design, modelling, simulation, and AR/VR technologies. Participants also receive access to the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, technical training, industry mentorship, and opportunities to showcase their solutions before experts.

• Mode: Hybrid / Multi-stage
• Round 1: Online MCQ assessment
• Rounds 2 & 3: Digital design, modelling, simulation, validation, and presentation using the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform
• Grand Finale: Live AR/VR-based presentation before an industry jury
• Grand Finale Venue: IIT Madras Research Park, Chennai, as announced by knowledge partner PALS.
• Participants can register individually or as a team.
• The competition covers four domains:
• Industrial Equipment
• New Energy for Data Centres
• eVTOL / Drones
• Last-Mile Mobility

  • Students may participate individually or as part of a team.
• Registration requires verification of the participant’s email address and mobile number.
• Round 1: Online MCQ examination covering engineering fundamentals, design and manufacturing concepts, and problem-solving.
• Round 2: Participants develop solutions and digital models using the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.
• Round 3: Designs undergo simulation, validation, feasibility analysis, and technical presentation.
• Grand Finale: Finalists present their design and simulation solutions using AR/VR.
• Final evaluation focuses on:
