📌About the Event
The CEC EduToon and EduWrite Competitions 2026–27 are national creative competitions inviting school, college, and university students across India to present their ideas through educational cartoons, illustrations, essays, articles, or creative writing. Organised by the Consortium for Educational Communication, an Inter-University Centre established by the University Grants Commission, the competition promotes learning, innovation, sustainability, well-being, and responsible digital citizenship. CEC has been conducting the EduToon and EduWrite competitions since 2018 to encourage students to contribute creatively to conversations around digital education.

- Submission mode: Entries must be uploaded through the official Google Form.
- Competition categories:
- EduToon: Educational cartoon or illustration competition
- EduWrite: Essay, article, or creative-writing competition
- Participant categories:
- Category 1: Students studying in Classes VI to XII
- Category 2: College and university students
- EduToon theme: “Empowering Young Minds for Viksit Bharat: Learning, Innovation, Well-being and Sustainability.”
- EduWrite theme: “Empowering Responsible Digital Citizens for Sustainable Future.”
- Geographical eligibility: Students from recognised schools, colleges, and universities across India.

- Original submission deadline: June 29, 2026
- Extended submission deadline: July 31, 2026
🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Who can participate:
- Students studying in Classes VI to XII may participate.
- Students enrolled in recognised colleges or universities may also participate.
- The competition is open to eligible students across India.
- Participants can submit entries for EduToon, EduWrite, or both.
- EduToon submission rules:
- The entry may be hand-drawn or digitally created.
- It must be based on the official EduToon theme.
- The cartoon or illustration must be original and unpublished.
- Accepted file formats are JPG, PNG, and PDF.
- The uploaded artwork must be clear and readable.
🏆 Benefits for the Participants
- The following prizes are offered separately under each competition—EduToon and EduWrite
- First prize: ₹5,000 and a certificate
- Second prize: ₹3,000 and a certificate
- Third prize: ₹2,000 and a certificate
- Winning entries may receive visibility through CEC’s educational and promotional platforms.
- Participation certificates: CEC has clearly stated that participation certificates will not be provided.
