📌About the Event
The Chandigarh Police National Hackathon 2026 is a national-level innovation challenge organised by Chandigarh Police in collaboration with UIET, Panjab University, and Punjab Engineering College (PEC), Chandigarh. Students will develop practical, affordable and scalable solutions for real-world challenges in cybercrime, digital forensics, AI, fraud analytics, darknet intelligence and investigative technologies.
ℹ️ Event Details
- Level: National-level student hackathon.
- Team Size: 4–5 members.
- Offline Venue: UIET, Panjab University & PEC, Chandigarh.
- Hackathon Duration: 24 hours.
- Competition Format:
- Round 1 – Online Idea Submission: Teams submit a prescribed PPT/pitch deck along with a video explaining their solution.
- Round 2 – Offline Hackathon: Shortlisted teams build and refine an MVP/prototype during the 24-hour hackathon with mentor guidance.
- Round 3 – Grand Finale: Around 3–4 teams from each track qualify to demonstrate their solutions before the jury.

- Registration/Proposal Deadline: 20 August 2026
- Screening & Shortlisting: 20–25 August 2026
- Shortlisting Results: 25 August 2026
- Pre-Hack Preparation: 25 August–7 September 2026
- 24-Hour Offline Hackathon: 8 September 2026
- Grand Finale: 9 September 2026
🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligibilty:
- Open to UG, PG and PhD students from recognised institutions.
- Students from all disciplines can participate.
- Teams must have 4–5 members.
- Inter-college and intra-college teams are permitted.
- Teams must select and work on one official problem statement.
- All team members must be physically present for the offline hackathon and grand finale.
- Participants are expected to submit original work and follow the official hackathon guidelines.
- Round 1 entries are screened before teams are shortlisted for the 24-hour hackathon.

- Total Prize Pool: ₹2.25 lakh.
- 1st Prize: ₹1,00,000
- 2nd Prize: ₹75,000
- 3rd Prize: ₹50,000
