IIT Roorkee – Cognizance 2026
About
Cognizance is the annual technical festival of the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. The festival is a blend of exhibitions, competitions, workshops, guest lectures, and entertainment performances. IIT Roorkee usually holds the festival in March. Competitions offer participants a chance to win cash prizes ranging from ₹20,000 to ₹6,00,000.
The range of events at Cognizance covers three variants. The centrestage events feature technical competitions. It includes Robotics, Drone Challenges, Coding Combat, Business and Finance Contest, Hack Hustle, Artistic Aura, Code Jam, and Techzibition Exhibition.
The departmental events also form a significant part of the fest. Various departments, such as Electronics & Communication, Psychology, Computer Science Engineering, Hydro & Renewable Energy, and Economics, organize competitions at Cognizance.
Lastly, participants can also attend guest lectures. These sessions bring together renowned academicians and industry experts to share insights on technological innovations.
