Shyam Lal College – ANVAY 2.0
About
ANVAY is the flagship bilingual debating festival organized by Shyam Lal College, University of Delhi. To explore more about what is Anvay, visit the college’s official website. In a nutshell, it serves as a national-level platform where students engage in structured discussions on pressing political, legal, and social issues through Youth Parliament-style debates and parliamentary simulations.
The Anvay festival includes committees such as the Lok Sabha, the National Council for Transgender Persons, and the All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM). Participants deliberate on topics including electoral reforms, women’s reservation, transgender rights, and broader policy-making challenges. By encouraging participation in both Hindi and English, the festival promotes an inclusive and accessible debating environment.
With a prize pool of ₹12,000, ANVAY offers awards, certificates, and valuable networking opportunities for students interested in public policy, governance, and debate. Hosted in New Delhi with a delegate fee of ₹200 per participant, the festival also helps participants develop critical thinking, research ability, communication skills, and leadership qualities through meaningful national-level discourse.
