📌 About the Competition
The Colours of Freedom – Painting Contest is a prestigious national art initiative launched by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, in direct collaboration with MyGov.
Organized as a core part of India’s Independence Day Celebrations 2026, the contest honors the valor, sacrifice, and multi-faceted contributions of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs)—which include the CRPF, BSF, CISF, Assam Rifles, ITBP, SSB, and NSG. The competition aims to bridge the gap between civil society and national security forces, giving citizens a creative canvas to visualize how these elite forces safeguard the country’s march toward a fully developed nation.
