📌 About the Event
The CORS Hackathon 2026 is a national-level AI and geospatial innovation challenge jointly organised by Survey of India (SoI) and IIT Tirupati Navavishkar I-Hub Foundation (IITTNiF), powered by the Geo-Intel Lab. The hackathon focuses on using Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS), GNSS, high-precision positioning and geospatial technologies to develop practical solutions for real-world challenges. Students participate under the theme “CORS for Everyday Solutions,” with problem areas including smart campus navigation, high-precision AR, community mapping and disaster preparedness.

- Theme for Students: CORS for Everyday Solutions
- Mode: Hybrid
- Initial Phases: Online — registration, idea submission and preliminary shortlisting are conducted online.
- Final Evaluation: Offline — shortlisted teams participate in the final presentation and prototype demonstration in person.
- Team Size: 2–5 members
- Focus Areas: Smart Cities, Infrastructure, Navigation, Agriculture, Disaster Management, Logistics and Climate
- Technology Focus: CORS, GNSS, high-precision positioning and geospatial technologies

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Students: Undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students from engineering, geospatial science, computer science and related fields can participate.
- Participants can develop solutions based on the “CORS for Everyday Solutions” theme.
- Student problem statements cover campus navigation, AR gaming, community mapping and disaster preparedness.
- Registration Fee: ₹700 per team per problem statement for UG/PG/PhD students, inclusive of 18% GST.
- The registration fee is non-refundable.
