📌About the Event
The E.ON Future Makers Challenge 2026 is a pan-India innovation programme by E.ON, Infosys and IIT Madras, aimed at finding scalable solutions for Europe’s energy infrastructure challenges. Indian students and startups can submit innovations across energy resilience, cybersecurity, robotics, AI and smart-meter technologies. Selected teams progress from idea evaluation to prototyping and potential real-world deployment in European markets.

- Mode: Hybrid
- Initial application and screening: Online
- Final Phase 1 selection event: In-person in Bengaluru
- Later phases involve prototyping, mentoring and deployment support.
- Duration: Around 15 months across 3 phases
- Phase 1: Idea selection – 3 months
- Phase 2: Validation and prototyping – 6 months
- Phase 3: Deployment and scale-up – 6 months

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligibilty:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited Indian college or university in a UG, PG or PhD programme.
- Must be legally incorporated in India with a valid DPIIT registration or Certificate of Incorporation.
- Solutions should be:
- Simple, robust and affordable
- Practical and rapidly deployable
- Relevant to European energy infrastructure
- Adaptable to EU regulatory and infrastructure requirements
- Scalable beyond a single market
- Evaluation process:
- Application screening
- Jury evaluation
- In-person selection event in Bengaluru
- Up to 4 ideas/ventures selected for the next phase.
