Elegant Literature is an established Canadian short fiction digital magazine and training ecosystem (registered legally as Elegant Media Publishing Corporation) explicitly designed to help new and unpublished writers launch their careers. They have a solid reputation in the indie writing community for paying 10 cents per word (which is higher than SFWA/HWA professional market baseline rates) and keeping professional authors completely locked out of the competition pool to level the playing field.
