📌About the Event

FCPLG Tarkmanch 2026 is the second edition of a national inter-college debate competition organised to bring together undergraduate and postgraduate students from colleges and universities across India. Centred on the theme “Role of Gen-Z in Contemporary Politics,” the competition provides young participants with a platform to examine political participation, governance, public policy, leadership, and nation-building through logical and evidence-based arguments. It aims to improve public speaking, analytical thinking, persuasive communication, leadership, and responsible democratic engagement among students.

  • Competition format: Individual debate
  • Venue: FORE Centre for Political Leadership and Governance, A-16, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, Qutab Institutional Area, New Delhi – 110067
  • Participation scope: Students from recognised colleges and universities across India
  • Debate position: Participants can speak either for or against the motion.
  • Languages permitted: Hindi or English
  • Main argument duration: 3 minutes
  • Closing argument or rebuttal: 1 minute
  • Total speaking time: 4 minutes
  • Grace period: A maximum grace period of 30 seconds may be permitted. Exceeding the time limit can result in negative marking.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules

  • Who can participate:
    • The competition is open to undergraduate students.
    • Postgraduate students can also participate.
    • Applicants must be studying at a recognised college or university in India.
    • Students from all academic disciplines are eligible.
    • Participation will be on an individual basis rather than in teams.

🏆 Benefits for the Participants

  • First Prize: ₹20,000 each for two winners
  • Second Prize: ₹15,000 each for two winners
  • Third Prize: ₹10,000 each for two winners
  • Consolation Prize: ₹5,000 each for four winners
  • Total cash prize pool: ₹1,10,000
  • Winners will receive certificates along with cash prizes.
  • Outstanding performers will receive recognition on a national-level debate platform.
  • Winners will be honoured during the prize-distribution ceremony in the presence of distinguished guests and dignitaries.
