📌About the Event

The First State-Level Essay Competition 2026 is an essay-writing competition organised by Lok Bhavan, West Bengal, for school, college, and university students across the state. The competition aims to encourage historical research, independent thinking, analytical skills, and original writing. Participants can submit essays in English or Bengali on designated historical topics related to the events of 1946. With cash prizes of up to ₹1,00,000, the competition offers students an opportunity to demonstrate their research and writing abilities at the state level.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules

• Eligibilty:
• Open to students enrolled in educational institutions located in West Bengal.
• School participants must be studying in Classes 10–12.
• College and university students can participate under the higher education category.
• Participants can submit only one essay in either English or Bengali.
