📌 About the Event

Flying Wings 2026 is the first-of-its-kind national level drone hackathon organised by the Manekshaw Centre at IIT Jodhpur in association with the Konark Corps, Indian Army. IIT Jodhpur It is designed as a bridge between concept and deployment, challenging participants to convert innovative ideas into practical, defence-ready solutions that can serve as strategic assets for national security. The event brings together multidisciplinary teams to work on real world defence problems in a highly focused, mission oriented environment. IIT Jodhpur The hackathon is open to students, startups, and industry professionals and directly supports India’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat in the defence technology space.

ℹ️ Event Details

  • Category: Defence Technology and Drone Innovation
  • Eligibility: Open to both students and industry professionals or startups. They compete in separate tracks.
  • Mode: Round 1 is virtual, Round 2 is on campus at IIT Jodhpur.
  • Selection Process:
    • Round 1 Proof of Concept submission plus online presentation in a 7 plus 7 plus 1 minute format (7 minutes presentation, 7 minutes Q and A, 1 minute changeover).
    • Round 2 includes live demonstrations, bench tests, and integration and performance checks.

  • Registartion closes: 15th March, 2026
  • Round 1: 3rd and 4th April 2026
  • Round 2: 17th and 18th July 2026

🏆 Prize & Recognition

  • For student teams, prize money of Rs 1,00,000 is awarded in each operation.
  • For industry and startups, prestigious trophies and certificates are awarded to winners in each vertical.
  • Top performers may also be invited to collaborate on existing and upcoming projects at the Manekshaw Centre.
