📌About the Event

The Gender Equality in STEM International Workshop 2026 is the fourth edition of a global workshop series examining why women remain underrepresented in science, technology, engineering and mathematics education and careers. Hosted at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, the workshop will bring together researchers, policymakers and STEM professionals to discuss structural barriers, workplace practices, cultural norms, sexism, identity issues and other factors affecting gender inclusion in STEM.

• Researchers from any academic discipline may apply, provided their work is relevant to gender and STEM.
• Researchers and practitioners working in STEM fields with an interest in gender equality may participate.
• Professionals from academia, research institutions and the private sector are included in the target audience.
• Applicants were required to submit an abstract of no more than 350 words.
• Abstracts had to be submitted through email to the address specified in the official call.
• Participation is limited to a maximum of 30 selected candidates.
• Selection is based on the submitted abstract and its relevance to the workshop’s central theme.
