HACKOWASP 8.0 is the elite flagship hackathon, the official technical fest of the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET). Organized by the OWASP Thapar Student Chapter, this event is a 36 hour high intensity marathon designed for developers, designers, and cybersecurity enthusiasts. As the centerpiece of Helix, it pushes participants to build functional, impactful solutions in domains ranging from Blockchain to Web3. Unique to this hackathon is the “CTF Unleashed” finale a dynamic Capture The Flag competition that kicks off immediately after the hacking ends.

🚀 Hackathon Journey (The 7 Phases)
- Registrations Open: Portal is live for team formation and application.

- Commencement: The 36 hour clock begins. Non stop coding and problem solving.
- Evaluation: Formal presentations to an expert panel focusing on technical depth and real-world utility.
- Closing Ceremony: Results announced and awards distributed.
- CTF Unleashed: A dedicated cybersecurity challenge starting at 6 PM on the final evening.
