📌About the Event
The IEEE Student Design Contest 2026 – Kolkata is a technical design competition organised by the IEEE AP/MTT-S Joint Chapter, Kolkata Section. The contest challenges engineering students to design, miniaturise, fabricate and experimentally validate an ISM-band microstrip patch antenna operating at 2.4–2.5 GHz. Teams must aim for at least a 50% reduction in antenna size while maintaining satisfactory antenna performance. The competition gives students practical exposure to antenna design, electromagnetic simulation, fabrication, testing and technical presentation.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligibilty:
- The competition is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students under the IEEE Kolkata Section.
- Each team must consist of:
- 3 students
- 1 faculty mentor
- The team leader must be an IEEE AP-S or IEEE MTT-S member under the IEEE Kolkata Section.
- Participation is team-based; individual participation is not indicated in the organizer announcement.

- Winner: ₹20,000 cash prize
- Runner-up: ₹10,000 cash prize
- Second Runner-up: ₹5,000 cash prize
- Total announced cash prizes: ₹35,000
