The India International Coffee Festival 2027 Competition Preliminaries invite professional baristas and coffee brewers to compete in the National Barista Championship and the National Brewers Cup. Conducted across Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai, these preliminary rounds identify skilled competitors who can advance towards the national championship stage and potentially represent India at the World Coffee Championships. The competitions are part of IICF 2027, India’s largest coffee festival, organised by the Specialty Coffee Association of India with support from the Coffee Board of India.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules

• Who can participate:
  • Participants must be at least 18 years old.
  • Participants must possess valid government-issued identification from the place they represent or provide documents proving at least 24 months of residency, employment, or educational enrolment.
  • Competitors advancing to the semifinals must submit a valid passport copy at least 60 days before the semifinals.
  • A competitor may enter only one sanctioned coffee competition during the competition year.
  • Both professionals associated with coffee companies and eligible independent competitors may register; the form asks for the participant’s company or employer and current role.
  • A maximum of five participants from the same company may enter each competition in each city.

🏆 Benefits for the Participants

• All competitions will follow applicable World Coffee Events rules, along with the organising body’s rules and regulations.
• Competitors must read the current competition rules, score sheets, and participant guidelines before competing.
• Attendance at the official competitor meeting or briefing session is mandatory. Failure to attend may lead to disqualification.
• The order of performance will be decided through a draw after the competitor briefing.
• Organisers will provide the standard competition stage, including designated machines, grinders, and other specified equipment.
• Participants must bring any additional tools, ingredients, coffee, and accessories required for their performance.
• Only coffee beans of Indian origin may be used for beverages prepared during the competition.
