📌About the Event
India Spelling Bee 2026–27 is a national-level spelling competition for school students across India. The contest is designed to improve spelling skills, vocabulary, confidence, and English language learning through a structured competitive format. Students compete first at the school level and, if they qualify, move to the regional and national levels. The competition is open to students from Classes 1 to 9 and can be conducted in both online and offline formats.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligible students: Students of Classes 1 to 9
- Eligible location: Students from anywhere in India
- School requirement: Students generally participate through a school or institute registered with India Spelling Bee
- Individual participation: Available if the student’s school is not registered or unable to register
- Class groups:
- Group 1: Class 1
- Group 2: Classes 2 and 3
- Group 3: Classes 4 and 5
- Group 4: Classes 6 and 7
- Group 5: Classes 8 and 9
- Participation limit: A student can participate in only one ISB contest per academic year
- Disqualification: Any evidence of misconduct may lead to disqualification
- Evaluation process:
- Students first compete at the school level
- School-level winners and qualifiers become eligible for the regional level
- Regional winners are invited to compete in the National Championship
- Qualifiers are posted on the India Spelling Bee website and schools are notified by email
- Preparation material: Registered students receive the ISB Guide Book for their class level, which includes words, exercises, and sample papers
