📌About the Event
The IndiaAI Fellowship 2026–27 is a government-backed fellowship programme launched under the IndiaAI Mission by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. The initiative supports undergraduate, postgraduate, integrated dual degree, and PhD students pursuing research and innovative projects in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and related fields.The fellowship aims to encourage AI research, technological innovation, and practical applications of artificial intelligence while developing India’s next generation of AI researchers. Selected students receive financial assistance, research funding, and opportunities for international academic exposure.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligibilty:
- Applicants must be Indian nationals pursuing full-time undergraduate courses.
- Students must be undertaking AI or AI-related projects.
- Three-year degree students can apply from the beginning of their 5th semester.
- Four-year degree students can apply from the beginning of their 7th semester.
- Applicants must have completed at least three AI-related courses.
- Students from engineering, medicine, commerce, law, business, sciences, and liberal arts may apply.
🏆 Benefits for the Participants
- Undergraduate and Integrated Dual Degree Students
- Financial assistance of up to ₹1,00,000.
- Funding is released in instalments, subject to meeting academic and project progress requirements.
Postgraduate Students - Financial assistance of up to ₹2,00,000.
- The actual amount depends on the semester in which the student enters the fellowship programme.
PhD Scholars - 1st and 2nd Year: ₹70,000 per month.
- 3rd Year: ₹75,000 per month.
- 4th and 5th Year: ₹80,000 per month.
- Research Grant: Up to ₹2,00,000 annually, subject to programme conditions.
