The Indo-French Workshop on LIBS and Raman Spectroscopy for Planetary Sciences: Techniques, Challenges and Frontiers is a three-day scientific workshop organised by GITAM University, Bengaluru, in collaboration with IRAP Toulouse, France, and supported by CEFIPRA. Scheduled for August 19–21, 2026, it brings together Indian and French experts to discuss advances in Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS), Raman spectroscopy, instrumentation and their applications in planetary surface and material analysis, including insights from missions such as Curiosity, Perseverance, Zhurong and Chandrayaan-3.
