📌About the Event

The InGARSS 2026 YP Hackathon Challenge is a geoscience and remote sensing innovation competition organised as part of the 2026 IEEE India Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (InGARSS 2026). Based on the theme “Digital Earth – Modeling, Mapping, and Monitoring,” the hackathon invites students and young professionals to develop solutions for real-world geoscience and remote sensing challenges using technologies such as AI/ML, Big Data, geo-intelligence and remote sensing.

• Mode: Hybrid — online preliminary round followed by an offline grand finale
• Phase 1: Online solution submission round
• Phase 2: Offline grand finale at InGARSS 2026

• Team Size: Maximum 3 members per team
• Participants will work on real-world problems related to geoscience and remote sensing.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules

• Eligibilty:
• The hackathon is open to students and Young Professionals (YPs).
• Participants must compete in teams of up to 3 members.
• Teams must register before the September 30, 2026 deadline.
• Registered teams receive the hackathon problem statements for the online round.
• Phase 1 – Online: Teams develop and submit their solutions to the announced problem statements.
• The top-performing teams from Phase 1 qualify for the next round.
• Phase 2 – Offline: Shortlisted teams participate in the grand finale at InGARSS 2026 in Hyderabad and showcase their solutions.

• Winner: ₹25,000 per team
• First Runner-up: ₹17,500 per team
• Second Runner-up: ₹17,500 per team
