The Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund (JNMF) Doctoral Scholarship is a premier research fellowship in India aimed at encouraging high-quality doctoral research across humanistic, social, and environmental disciplines.

Applicants must be pursuing research in one of the following five approved domains:
- Indian History & Civilization: Historiography, heritage, and cultural studies.
- Sociology: Social dynamics, governance, and institutional studies.
- Economics: Applied economics, public policy, and development frameworks.
- Ecology & Environment: Sustainability, climate impact, and environmental conservation.
- Comparative Studies in Religion & Culture: Interfaith analysis and cultural anthropology.
🎯 Key Eligibility Criteria
- Post-Graduation Marks: Minimum 60% aggregate marks in both Graduate and Post-Graduate degrees.
- Enrollment Status: Must already be registered/admitted as a full-time Ph.D. scholar at a recognized Indian institution.
- Age Limit: Below 35 years as of October 1, 2026 (up to 5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/Women/Third Gender/Ex-Servicemen).
- Exclusivity: Scholars receiving any other fellowship, stipend, or institutional funding are ineligible.
