📌About the Event

The JIFF 2–7 Minute Movie-Making Competition 2026 is a national-level filmmaking challenge organised by the Jaipur International Film Festival. The competition invites school, college, and university students to produce an original short film of two to seven minutes. Participants can submit either fiction or non-fiction films and showcase their creativity, storytelling ability, cinematography, editing, and sound-design skills. Selected entries may also be screened at the Jaipur International Film Festival scheduled for January 2027.

• Who can participate:
  • Schools
  • Colleges
  • Universities
  • Students from all academic streams and educational backgrounds can participate.
  • There is no specified age restriction.
  • Every film must be created by a team of three to ten students.
  • Individual entries are not permitted under the stated team-size requirement.

🏆 Benefits for the Participants

• Total prize pool: ₹1,00,000 worth of cash and in-kind prizes
• Between five and 21 films may receive awards, depending on the number of entries.
• Winners may receive:

  • Selected films may be screened at the Jaipur International Film Festival.
