📌About the Event

The 19th NALSAR–Justice Bodh Raj Sawhny Memorial Moot Court Competition 2026 is a national-level Constitutional Law moot organised by NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. Scheduled from October 2–4, 2026, the competition challenges law students on contemporary issues of constitutional interpretation and institutional accountability, with the proposition drafted by the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules

• Eligibilty:
• Open to students pursuing 3-year/5-year LL.B. or LL.M. programmes.
• Team size: 2–3 members — two speakers and an optional researcher.
• All members must belong to the same institution.
• Maximum 4 teams per institution can register.
• Two-member teams cannot participate in the Researcher’s Test.
• Teams must maintain institutional anonymity during the competition.
• Memorials are evaluated on legal knowledge, analysis, research, clarity, organisation, grammar and style.
• The top 24 memorials qualify for oral rounds.
• Oralists are assessed on knowledge of law and facts, application of law, responses, advocacy style, time management and organisation.
• Scouting or observing competing teams before elimination is prohibited.
