📌About the Event
KAYA’26 AI Software Hackathon is the flagship software-building competition of KAYA’26, an All-India AI Fest organized by AZMTH and co-hosted by CIIE, I3F, IIT (BHU). The hackathon challenges participants to develop practical, innovative software solutions using AI and emerging technologies. Teams can work on official problem statements or choose the Open Innovation track, with shortlisted teams competing in an intensive offline hackathon at IIT (BHU), Varanasi.
ℹ️ Event Details
- Focus Areas: Cybersecurity, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, AI and software innovation.
- Mode: Hybrid – online submission round followed by an offline finale.
- Online Round: Teams submit their software project, GitHub repository and demo video online.
- Offline Round: Shortlisted teams participate in a 24-hour on-site hackathon.
- Final Venue: Swatantrata Bhavan, CIIE, I3F, IIT (BHU), Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
- Team Size: 2–4 members; solo participation is not allowed.
- Finalists: Top 12 teams from the online round advance to the offline finale.

- Offline Hackathon: October 10–11, 2026
🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligibilty:
- The competition is open to students, professionals, entrepreneurs, researchers, creators, hobbyists and technology enthusiasts.
- There is no student-only, academic-background or age restriction.
- Participants below 18 years must have parental or guardian consent.
- Software Hackathon teams must have 2–4 members.
🏆 Benefits for the Participants
- Total Software Hackathon Prize Pool: ₹2,00,000.
- Prize money will be awarded to the top-performing teams.
- Participants get opportunities to interact with mentors and industry experts through KAYA workshops and mentoring sessions.
- Finalists get the opportunity to showcase their AI/software solutions at the KAYA’26 offline event at IIT (BHU), Varanasi.
