The “Kisan aur Karigar: Faces of Bharat” Photography Competition is a national visual documentation initiative launched by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. The campaign is executed via Nirmit Bharat’s government-backed app DigiHaat in collaboration with MyGov.
The goal of this competition is to build a high-quality visual archive that captures the authentic stories, resilience, and skills of India’s farmers, artisans, weavers, and local creators. It places a major spotlight on grassroots economic drivers, rural entrepreneurship, and the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative, celebrating the spirit of Swadeshi and nation-building.

- Event Modality: 100% Digital Submission via the MyGov task portal.

🎙️ Technical Guidelines & Strict Guardrails
To pass initial compliance checks, entries must strictly align with the following technical configuration framework:
- File Format & Size: Saved exclusively as JPEG/JPG or PNG formats.
- Image Resolution: High-resolution requirement minimum of 3000 pixels on the longer side.
- Submission Volumetrics: Each registered user can submit a maximum of 3 photographs.
- Editing Boundaries: Basic adjustments (cropping, minor color correction, exposure tuning, and sharpening) are allowed. AI-generated images, heavily manipulated digital composites, or altered realities are strictly prohibited.
- Visual Presentation: The image must be completely clean. No watermarks, signatures, logos, borders, or camera timestamps.
- Dignity & Framing Clause: Submissions must uphold the dignity of the subjects. Entries focusing strictly on poverty, hardship, or distress solely for emotional exploitation will be disqualified.
- Mandatory Description Naming Convention: You must format your photo name in the description field precisely as shown below:Format: [Photograph Title][State][Location/Village Name]_[Your Name]Example: Chanderi Artisans_UP_Deoria Village_Shashank

Entries will be graded on a 100-point balanced scorecard:
- Relevance to the Selected Theme: 25%
- Storytelling and Emotional Impact: 25%
- Creativity and Originality: 20%
