📌About the Event
The LensCulture Street Photography Awards 2026 is an international photography competition inviting photographers to capture compelling moments, people, cultures, and stories from streets around the world. Participants may submit individual photographs or a cohesive photographic series. Selected photographers can receive cash prizes, international media exposure, publication on LensCulture, and an opportunity to exhibit their work at Photo London 2027.

- Geographical scope: International; photographers from all countries, including India, may participate.
- Theme: Street photography in any genre, including candid moments, urban life, public spaces, communities, cultures, architecture, documentary work, and everyday human experiences.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligibility:
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- The competition is open to:
- Professional photographers
- Semi-professional photographers
- Amateur photographers
- Photography students
- Beginners and emerging photographers
- Participants from outside the United States, including Indian photographers, are eligible.
- Team submissions are permitted, but information about both photographers must be included in the participant biography.
- Students must either:
- Be currently enrolled in an educational institution, or
- Have graduated during 2025
- Proof of student status may be requested if the entry becomes a winner, finalist, or Juror’s Pick.
- Photography and AI Rules
- Entries may include strong individual photographs or a coherent series from any street photography genre.
- The main competition page states that submitted photographs should have been created within the last 10 years.
- Completely AI-generated images are not accepted.
- Participants may use AI-powered tools to edit or modify their own original photographs.
- Any use of AI must be clearly disclosed in the project statement, including:
- The AI tool or process used
- The type of modifications made
- The extent to which the original photograph was changed
- For documentary, news, reporting, and photojournalistic entries:
- People or objects must not be added, removed, reversed, rearranged, or distorted.
- Staged photographs must be identified as staged in the caption or project statement.
- Participants must own the copyright and have the legal right to submit every photograph.
- Photographers are responsible for following local laws concerning candid photography, privacy, and model releases.
- Stock images, third-party copyrighted material, and photographs infringing privacy or intellectual-property rights are prohibited.
- Submission Details
- Participants must create or sign in to a free LensCulture account.
- Entries must be uploaded digitally; printed photographs and CDs are not accepted.
- Accepted formats include JPEG and PNG.
- Recommended image specifications:
- Minimum 1,200 pixels on the longest side
- Maximum 2,000 pixels on the longest side
- Maximum file size of 10 MB per image
- File name under 50 characters
- A series should contain up to 10 photographs presented as one cohesive body of work.
- Separate photographic series should be entered through separate submissions.
- Participants may submit multiple entries.
- Completed entries are generally considered final once payment has been processed, although incomplete submissions may be edited through the “My Submissions” section before the deadline.
