📌About the Event
The LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2026 is an initiative of the LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation to support meritorious students from economically weaker sections in pursuing higher education in India. The scheme covers eligible medical, engineering, graduation, integrated, diploma, vocational, ITI and Class 11–12-level courses. For 2026, LIC offers both General Scholarships after Class 12/Diploma and Special Scholarships after Class 10

- Mode of Application: Online
- Mode of Conduct: Applications are submitted online and processed by LIC’s respective Divisional Offices.
- Applications are automatically routed to one of 112 LIC Divisions according to the applicant’s address PIN code.
- Selection involves academic-merit ranking followed by verification of marks, income and admission documents.

- Academic session covered: 2026–27
- Last date to apply: 30 September 2026
- First scholarship instalment: Due from 1 September 2026, subject to selection.
- Second scholarship instalment: 1 February 2027
🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligibilty:
- Applicant must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with at least 60% marks/equivalent CGPA in academic year 2023–24, 2024–25 or 2025–26.
- Must have taken admission during 2026–27 in the first year of an eligible programme.
- Eligible programmes include Medicine, Engineering, Graduation, Integrated Courses, Diploma, Vocational Courses and ITI programmes.
- Annual income of parents/guardian from all sources must not exceed ₹4.5 lakh.
🏆 Benefits for the Participants
- Medical courses : MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BDS: ₹50,000 per year, paid in two instalments of ₹25,000.
- Engineering : BE, BTech, BArch: ₹40,000 per year, paid in two instalments of ₹20,000.
- Graduation, integrated, diploma, vocational and ITI courses: ₹20,000 per year, paid in two instalments of ₹10,000.
- Special Scholarship after Class 10: ₹15,000 per year, paid in two instalments of ₹7,500.
- Scholarship support can continue for the eligible duration of the course, excluding internship or stipendiary periods, subject to renewal conditions.
