📌About the Event
Manuscriptum Handwriting Olympiad 2026–27 is a national-level handwriting competition for students studying in Classes 1 to 12 across India. The competition aims to improve students’ handwriting quality, legibility, presentation and confidence through structured practice and professional evaluation. Participants compete first at the school or individual level, while selected students advance to the national-level round. Every participant receives expert feedback through a personalised Corrective Advice Report.
ℹ️ Event Details
- Level: National-level handwriting competition.
- Mode of conduct: The competition is conducted offline using physical writing sheets at participating schools or designated centres, while registration and payment are completed online.
- School participation: Schools may choose a suitable examination date from the organiser’s prescribed schedule and conduct the first round on their premises.
- Individual participation: Individual participants receive a cursive handwriting practice book and competition writing sheet by post. They must complete and return the writing sheet for evaluation.
- Competition format: Students copy the printed passage provided on the left side of the official sheet into the blank writing area.
- Duration: 20 minutes for both the school-level and national-level rounds.
- National round: Selected students from each category are invited to participate at a designated national-level examination centre.

- Last date for individual registration: 5 December 2026.
- Last date for individual writing-sheet submission: 29 December 2026.
- Individual-level result announcement: 4 January 2027.
- National-level examination: 23 January 2027.
🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligible students: Students studying in Class 1 to Class 12 can participate.
- Category A: Classes 1 to 4.
- Category B: Classes 5 to 8.
- Category C: Classes 9 to 12.
- School participation requirement: A school must register a minimum of 30 students.
- Writing style: Students may write in either cursive or print handwriting.
- Permitted writing tools: Participants may use a pen or pencil.
- Competition task: Students must accurately copy the passage printed on the official competition sheet.
- Time limit: The writing task must be completed within 20 minutes.
- Submission rule: Completed school-level sheets must be sent back to Manuscriptum for professional evaluation.

- Correct formation of uppercase and lowercase letters
- Proper stroke direction and writing control
- Consistent spacing between letters and words
- Uniform letter size
- Alignment, slant and baseline discipline
- Neatness and legibility
- Accuracy and error-free presentation
- Sentence structure, flow and readability
- Writing fluency and endurance
- Expert assessment: Qualified handwriting experts evaluate the entries and provide participants with a personalised Corrective Advice Report covering more than 50 handwriting parameters.
