📌 About the Program
The Mascot Design Contest for India Post is a national initiative launched by the Department of Posts (Ministry of Communications, Government of India) in collaboration with MyGov.
The contest invites citizens across India to design an official mascot and propose a matching name that reflects India Post’s core values trust, reliability, inclusivity, digital empowerment, last-mile connectivity, and customer-centric service (Dak Sewa Jan Sewa).
🗓️ Program Details & Schedule
- Submission Window: July 15, 2026 – August 15, 2026
- Organizer: Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications & MyGov
- Eligibility: Open to all Indian citizens of all age groups (1 entry per participant)
- Submission Mode: Exclusively online via the MyGov portal (
innovateindia.mygov.in)
🎨 Submission & Design Guidelines
Mascot Design Guidelines:
- Format & Resolution: JPG, PNG, or PDF format (Minimum 300 DPI, minimum resolution of 1920×1080, max file size 10 MB).
- Editable Source File: Shortlisted candidates must provide editable vector files (
.AI,.CDR,.EPS, or.SVG) within one week of request. - Creation Style: Must be 100% original and manually created. AI-generated mascot designs are strictly discouraged.
- Adaptability: Simple, engaging, and flexible for conversion into 3D, animations, print, digital media, and merchandise.
Mascot Name & Concept Note Guidelines:
- Name Criteria: In any Indian language (with English or Hindi transliteration), simple, catchy, and relevant to India Post’s mission.
- Concept Note: A written rationale explaining the symbolism and concept behind both the design and the name (150 to 200 words in English or Hindi).
💰 Prizes & Gratification
Prizes are awarded separately for the Mascot Creative Design and the Mascot Name:

⚖️ Evaluation & Intellectual Property (IPR)
- Evaluation Criteria: Creativity & Originality (30%), Alignment with Values (25%), Aesthetic Appeal/Simplicity (25%), and Adaptability across Formats (20%).
- IPR Ownership: The winning mascot design and name will become the exclusive Intellectual Property of the Department of Posts for nationwide promotional, digital, and official usage
