📌About the Event

MEDHA 2026 is a Medical Device Hackathon and Conference focused on solving real-world, unmet clinical needs through multidisciplinary innovation. The event brings together students, researchers, healthcare professionals, designers, and engineers to identify healthcare problems and develop practical medical-device solutions. MEDHA is being conducted with BETIC, IIT Bombay, along with JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru and other innovation partners.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules

• Eligibilty:
• Open to UG and PG students, researchers and working professionals.
• Relevant disciplines include:
• Medical and healthcare fields
• Engineering
• Design
• Allied interdisciplinary fields
• Participants are expected to collaborate across disciplines and work on unmet clinical/healthcare needs.
• Phase I includes team formation followed by clinical need evaluation.
• Teams may progress from identifying a clinical problem to defining requirements, proposing a solution and developing proof-of-concept ideas, consistent with the MEDHA innovation pathway.

• Selected/winning participants get access to fellowship opportunities.
• Mentoring and technical guidance are offered to help develop promising healthcare innovations.
• Winners get an opportunity to progress towards MEDIC – Medical Device Innovation Course at IIT Bombay.
• Shortlisted teams can advance to the Phase II finale at IIT Bombay.
