The MIT India Pune Hackathon 2026 is an elite, multi-tiered nationwide software and product engineering tournament. Organized by MIT India (with banking transactions handled through the, this intense regional qualifier functions as the high-stakes gateway to the national Grand Finale at the India Entrepreneurship Summit (IES 2026) in New Delhi.
Designed to test raw multidisciplinary execution, the hackathon forces teams out of pre-built environments by dropping unexpected, on-the-spot problem statements on morning one. Teams must spend the 2-day marathon sprint collaborating across development and industrial design verticals to model systems addressing vital federal, social, and commercial infrastructure bottlenecks.

🎛️ Hackathon Formats & Problem Domains
The event enforces a rigid team composition rule: Exactly 4 members per team (Member 01 designated as Team Lead). The Pune tournament strictly caps participation at 100 total teams, divided across two core tracks:
- Track 1 – Engineering, Science & Management: Allocating space for exactly 70 teams focused on systems architecture, mathematical logic, and business scalability models.
- Track 2 – Design: Allocating space for exactly 30 teams specializing in physical hardware ergonomics, UI/UX interaction pipelines, and human-centric industrial workflows.
💵 Registration Packages & Banking Process
Teams must complete their payment manually via Bank Transfer / QR Code and attach the verified screenshot with their UTR transaction number into the application form. Crucial Note: Your auto-assigned Team ID must be specified in the payment remarks line for validation.
