The National Inter-college Crossword Expedition (NICE) 2026 is a premier nationwide competitive event organized by Extra-C.
Designed to test analytical thinking, vocabulary, and problem-solving skills, NICE 26 invites students from colleges and universities across India to compete in solving cryptic crosswords through multiple online and offline regional stages.

🎯 Contest Format & Participation Rules
- Account Reuse: Students previously registered for earlier editions (e.g., NICE 24) who are still studying do not need to re-register; they retain their username and receive new 2026 password credentials via email.
- Credentials: System-generated username and password granted upon registration are used to log in for all online rounds.
- Governance: Extra-C holds final authority across all stages and decision-making processes.
💰 Recognition & Institutional Awards
Institutional Incentives
- NICE Roll of Honour: Awarded to institutions with over 100 student registrants by August 23, 2026, accompanied by 10 crossword books.
- NICE Institution Plaque: Awarded to the top institution with the highest total student registrations in each of the five geographical zones, accompanied by a certificate and 100 crossword books.
