📌About the Event
The National Phonics Olympiad 2026–27 is a national-level English phonics competition created for young learners from Nursery to Class 2. The single-level examination aims to strengthen children’s understanding of letter sounds, reading, spelling, pronunciation, vocabulary and comprehension. The competition provides an age-appropriate platform where children can test their early literacy skills and receive national-level recognition.

- Mode of conduct: Offline
- Number of levels: Single-level examination
- Exam venue: Registered schools and authorised examination centres across India
- Eligible classes: Nursery, Junior KG, Senior KG, Class 1 and Class 2
- Exam date: 10 or 11 April 2027
- Date selection: The participating school or examination centre will select one of the two available examination dates.
- Individual registration: Parents can register children through a participating school, examination centre or directly through the official website.

- Student registrations opened: 9 July 2026
- Regular registration deadline: 10 February 2027
- Late registration period: 11–20 February 2027
- Final registration deadline: 28 February 2027
- Olympiad examination: 10 or 11 April 2027
- Tentative result date: 20 June 2027
🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- The Olympiad is open to students studying in:
- Nursery
- Junior KG or LKG
- Senior KG or UKG
- Class 1
- Class 2
- Students from schools across India may participate.
- Children may register through their school, an authorised centre or individually through the official website.
- Participants must select an available examination centre while completing their registration.
