📌About the Event
Nyaya Setu – The AI & Justice Policy Convention 2026 is the third edition of a national-level policy drafting competition organised by the School of Law, SVKM’s NMIMS Indore. Designed as a policy hackathon, the convention challenges students to create practical and implementable frameworks for governing Generative AI in India’s justice delivery and legal aid systems. Participants will explore concerns such as algorithmic bias, inaccurate AI-generated legal information, data privacy, transparency and equitable access to justice while simulating a Parliamentary Standing Committee process.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Who can participate:
- Students pursuing a recognised degree from a UGC-recognised university or institution in India can participate.
- Each team must consist of exactly two members.
- A participant can be a member of only one team.
- Teams must submit a Policy Concept Note of up to 2,000 words during the preliminary stage.
- All written submissions, presentations and interactions must be conducted in English.
- Registration will be considered complete only after the team receives a confirmation email from the organising committee.
- The registration fee is non-refundable.
- Participant details entered during registration will be used for issuing certificates and must therefore be accurate.
- The final policy submitted by shortlisted teams can be up to 7,500 words.
- Accommodation charges, where applicable, will be communicated separately to the eight shortlisted teams.

- Winner: ₹20,000 and a trophy
- First runner-up: ₹12,000 and a trophy
- Best Speaker: ₹8,000 and a trophy
- Total cash prize pool: ₹40,000
- Participation incentive: Participation certificates will be provided to participating teams.
