📌About the Event

The Online Debate Competition 2026, organised by the Olympian Lakshmikant Pandey Trust, invites students to debate the motion “Judicial Independence in India: Reality or Constitutional Idea?” The competition aims to strengthen public speaking, critical thinking, argumentative reasoning and communication skills while encouraging discussion on an important constitutional issue.

• Mode: Online
• Platform: Google Meet
• Debate Motion: “Judicial Independence in India: Reality or Constitutional Idea?”
• Participants can speak For or Against the motion and must declare their stand before starting.
• Each participant gets 6 minutes:
• 4 minutes – Speech
• 2 minutes – Answering a question from the judges
• Preliminary rounds will be followed by a final round.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules

• Eligibilty:
• Participants must compete independently; impersonation, outside assistance and unfair means are prohibited.
• A stable internet connection, working microphone and camera are required.
• Participants must join their allotted Google Meet session on time.
• Preliminary rounds are planned across 10 meetings, with participants divided into slots of up to 25.
• Two participants from each preliminary meeting are expected to qualify for the final, subject to total registrations.
